Easy to Set Up and Can Link To Alexa
I ordered the BSXT Smart Sockets to use for various lamps throughout my house. I wanted to be able to turn them on while I was away or have the ability to have voice command directly through my Alexa devises. To Set Up there is a QR Code on the side of the box. Once scanned it downloads pretty fast. Make sure you have your Bluetooth switched on before opening the App. The devises did not come with any paper instructions included. I have the Alexa App, So I am familiar with set up, but this App wasn’t as user friendly from the Home Page. After doing an AI chat, I was able to get the exact directions. As well as directions to link to my Amazon devises. Which I will include with this review.1: Plug In the Tuya Smart Plug devise. 2: Press and Hold button on side of Unit 5-10 seconds. It will start Blinking Green. Once that blinks, you are ready to go into the App. 3: Tap the + on the top right corner of your screen. 4: Tap Add Devise. It will start searching. Once it is detected, a little green/blue box will appear. That is the new connected plug. If you tap on that icon you can rename it and then have access to turning it on or off from your phone. Just be sure to have your lamp or equipment turned ON first. You still have the ability to manually turn off whatever you have plugged into the unit. As long as you keep the Unit ON in the App. When you open the “named devise/location” at the bottom of your screen you have the option to setting up a predetermined Timer Schedule. really a great option for when your traveling and want to have it as a security precaution. IF you have any Amazon Devises, Alexa or Dot. This easily connects with them as well. Making it pretty simple and only needing to use one App instead of 2. This came as a 2 pack and was priced at $27 when I did this review. Which is a great price for an after market devise that easily links with other home systems or to use on its own.
