Works well and improves quality of life
This is an indispensable tool for using a dimmer and a smart plug. Note that you will also need a dimmable LED bulb to use this tool. Set up was easy and the app is intuitive. I have only used this twice, but have not detected flickering. It is very easy to adjust brightness. I am using two 60 Watt bulbs.

Excellent device with easy setup
This dimmer plug was very simple to setup and get working. The matter integration allowing to expose to HomeKit is a game changer. The included control button was a nice added feature. I would recommend this product as it solved an issue with smart bulbs not working properly in a specific lamp.

Does what you want
Does what you want.I bought it because of the dimmer button you can mount to the wall. It functions. Not great, but good enough. The setup is pretty easy, eventually.I akways have to do tge setup twice. Deleting the device in between. And, sometimes after you get it working, it disappears and you get to do it again.Connecting to Alexa isn’t too bad. Once you get it stable. But worth the price overall

Works well and the Tapo TP-Link app syncs perfectly with Alexa
This Smart WiFi light dimmer plug kit is a nice upgrade for my living room stand up light that’s difficult to reach. It’s made the light smart and I can dim it from my phone now. It also works with my Alexa, making it super easy to control. It’s easy to set up but will require you to have (or download) the Tapo TP-Link app but it works seamlessly with the Alexa app. It looks good and is very durable.

These rank among the worst of the worst…
I have over 200 smart devices in my home and these could be ranked in the top 3 of the worst smart devices that I own. I also have 2 of them, so it’s not that I got an anomaly “faulty one” from the factory. They are both plagued with the same problems and have the same shortcomings.I’m using them as a dimmer for two different sets of lamps that I have. The low end brightness of these receptacles/dimmers is absolutely horrible. I can get these down to about 41%. This is the lowest they will go. Sure, in the app, you can take it down to 1% if you want, but the brightness of the light will not change at all from one percent to 41% so the bottom line is your the adjustability of your bulbs will range from 41% to 100%. Oh, and that brings me to the next issue. At 100% both of my dimmers flicker (remember… I bought 2 of these and they both do this). And yes, I am using high-quality Phillips HD bulbs. I have the same bulbs (at least 20 of them) in other areas of the house and they dim down to about 2 or 3% reliably andaccurately. It’s only using this Tapo dimming receptival that I can’t get down below 41% and it does it with both Tapo units that I bought.I also do not like devices that give you great functionality in their app and horrible functionality through more general hubs like a Matter hub. If I have 200 devices, I can’t have 57 different individual apps. I need them all to work with either Matter, Thread, Zigbee or Z-wave… PERIOD Yes, these work with Matter, but you have “limited functionality” WTF! why would they do this… Oh, because they want you using their app and products and their ecosystem. Gee I might, if these weren’t such crap. I will not be buying another Tapo product again if these are representative of the quality and functionality .Long story short, yes, they are very inexpensive but if you would spend another five dollars, there are much, much better options. Do a little research and stay away from these and thank me later!

Amazing product
Amazing product. Not only does it work perfectly but the bonus of the remote is super convenient. Connecting to the Apple Home app couldn’t have been easier. Didn’t have to download any additional app, stayed in the Home app. I used this for a pair of bookshelf lights and yea just can’t recommend this enough. It’s a steal for what it does! Some remotes on their own cost what this whole set up does. Highly recommend it.

Was hopeful but I guess that wasn’t enough
I bought 3 of these because it fits a niche I’d been looking for, an indoor smart socket that can also dim lamps. As a plus it also has a separate remote button. One of the 3 is working well. The other 2 are having problems where they just randomly turn on and off the lamps and change the brightness. And rather quickly. It may be a problem with the room I’m trying to use them in. I haven’t figured that out yet. Maybe a noise or interference problem like from a nearby dimmer or such.Yet all that aside, if I were to rate these from 1 to 5 where 1 is crude and 5 is elegant, these are hands down a 1. Mine seem to forget their settings when they loose power (eg unplugging them) and the dimming action via the included button is very jumpy and unpredictable. There’s an on/off gradually setting that doesn’t do that at all but instead is jumpy and erratic. I disable it.I really wanted these to work. For the features and price point, they were perfect. Maybe with a new firmware release they will be. Mine are supposedly up to date.I hope these eventually work better!

Smart Home Solution for Hard-to-Reach Fixtures with Off-the-Shelf Dimmable E26 LED Bulbs
The Tapo P135 Kit is an excellent solution for smart lighting control, especially for homes without a neutral wire for a smart wall switch. My switch controls an electrical outlet behind my bed’s headboard, and I had two concerns: whether the switch would block the second outlet and if it would work with off-the-shelf dimmable LED bulbs. The switch’s compact design left the second outlet accessible, and in-app calibration ensured compatibility with my LED bulbs.I also customized a switch wall plate by adding an N52 magnet behind the circular metal plate, increasing magnetic strength to keep the dimmer switch secure. One tip: perform the calibration in complete darkness to accurately detect the lowest dimmer setting. Overall, this kit is a reliable and user-friendly option for transitioning to smart home lighting.
